| ![]() The Torwalt Lake property comprises 812 ha, and was acquired by staking in early 2004. It is located approximately 10km east of the Waterbury Lake project in the eastern part of the Athabasca Basin. The major uranium deposits are found in the general vicinity, including the nearby Dawn Lake mine. In December 2007, the property was optioned to Hillcrest Resources. Hillcrest can earn up to a 60% interest in the project for staged exploration expenditures totaling C $1.25 million over 4 years. In addition, Fission has received a total of C$50,000 in option payments and retains a 2% net smelter return on any future production. During 2008 the Fission-Hillcrest Joint Venture completed a 78 line-km high resolution VTEM airborne magnetic and EM survey and followed up with a property scale Mobile Metal Ion soil geochemistry survey, which will assist in identifying drill targets.
