The Patterson Lake Property was acquired through staking during the later part of 2004. The property is located within the south western part the Athabasca Basin in north western Saskatchewan, and comprises 9 claims totalling 25,316 hectares.

The claims encompass an area proximal to Cluff Lake Mine Road 955 from about 1 km south of Broach Lake to 2 km south of the Douglas River-Road intersection. The property can be accessed year round along the gravel Cluff Lake Mine Road from the town of La Loche. Due to the large number of lakes and streams in the area, helicopters or fixed-wing aircrafts are also an excellent method of access throughout the property. At present there are no facilities or infrastructure on the Patterson Lake Property site; however, accommodations are available during the summer months at Forest Lake Outfitters or Lloyd Lake Lodge, located south of the property. Although the outfitter and lodge provide some of the necessary supplies and services, such as power, fuel and water, the majority are available in Buffalo Narrows, 100 km south of La Loche.

Exploration potential of the area is considered medium - high. Several strong conductors have been identified to the south via airborne and ground EM surveys. Exploration potential diminishes moving north due to greater depths to the unconformity and less defined conductive horizons. In addition, several potential kimberlitic bodies have been identified. The current drill program will better define the potential of this property. A ground EM survey over a northern conductor will better define its potential as a target.

An airborne magnetic and EM geophysical survey was conducted in 2005 over all 9 mineral claims in the Patterson Lake property. Based on those results, a more detailed airborne survey was completed in 2006 over the areas of greatest interest. These included mineral claims S-107851, S-107376, and parts of claims S-107852 and S-107426. This was followed up by ground geophysics over 3 grids in the areas of greatest interest.

These exploration techniques identified several previously unknown conductors, including a northwest-southeast trending conductor running through mineral claim S-107435 which trends approximately parallel to the Anne Lake conductor. This may indicate that it is a faulted extension of the Anne Lake conductor, and as such is a prime target for further uranium exploration.

Currently, a drilling program as a follow-up to previous exploration is being conducted. Results are pending.

There has been extensive historical exploration of the area within and surrounding the Patterson Lake Property. Bow Valley Industries performed an airborne radiometric survey and a photogeologic evaluation around 1969. Taneloy Mines Ltd. also conducted work at this time, including airborne, radiometric, geological and geochemical surveys. In 1974, Uranerz Exploration and Mining Ltd. completed geological mapping, lake sediment sampling, and helicopter spectrometer surveys within the area. In 1977 Saskatchewan Mining Development Corporation (SMDC, now Cameco) obtained property in the area and completed an extensive exploration program. The program included geological mapping, lake sediment sampling and overburden sampling. Geophysics included a ground VLF-EM survey, an airborne EM (input) survey, and a magnetic survey. Imperial Oil Limited also conducted an exploration program in 1977, which included geological mapping, lake water and sediment sampling, an airborne radiometric survey, and ground VLF-EM surveys. During the late 1970's and early 1980's, Hudson Bay Exploration and Development, SMDC, and Imperial Oil continued to explore the area, individually and jointly. Exploration included geological mapping, radiometric prospecting, scintillometer surveys, limited drilling, and extensive sampling programs, including lake sediment, stream sediment, soil, overburden and till sampling. In 1990, Amok Ltd. conducted an airborne EM and magnetic survey. Cogema Resources Inc. staked claims in the area and completed a variety of geophysical surveys throughout the 1990's, including ground UTEM, TDEM, gravity, magnetic, VLF-EM, and VLF-R surveys. A number of conductive trends were identified, and drill tested with limited success. Despite the foregoing, Alonso and McElroy (1992, p. 23) recommend, "For a future drilling follow-up program, it will be necessary to concentrate ground and geophysical investigations on the Eastley-Anne-McEachern Lakes retrograde amphibolite facies trend and extend the surveys east to the Vaudner Lake dome and beyond, as well as north to the Beatty River Fault." The Patterson Lake Property covers part of the Eastley-Anne-McEachern trend, its possible southern extension, and the western part of the Vaudner Lake Dome.
