In January 2009, the Company consolidated the North Shore and South Shore Properties into one land package, which will now be known as the North Shore Property. "Bridge" permits connecting the properties into one contiguous land package have been staked, and the overall size has been trimmed to 101,718 Ha. These changes will allow the Company to focus on the best targets identified by exploration completed to date.
The former North Shore Property is situated along the northwest margin of the Athabasca Basin, approximately 10 kilometers southwest of Cameco's Maurice Bay Uranium Deposit (1.3 million lbs @ 0.6% U3O8). In 2007, the property was optioned to Tribune Uranium Corp, who could earn a 60% interest in the project for C$10 million in exploration over five years and 600,000 shares of Tribune. A high resolution magnetic and electromagnetic (VTEM) survey and a seven hole drill program totaling 1,260 m. were completed during the 2007-2008 winter season. The exploration program successfully identified a significant hydrothermal system associated with a major northeast trending structure. Strong alteration and radioactivity were intersected along this structure at downhole depths up to 185 m, with widths ranging from less than one meter to 8.5 meters. The basement hosted altered zones contained highly anomalous concentrations of geochemical pathfinders, and included uranium values ranging as high as 70.5 ppm U. These results are very encouraging at this early stage of exploration. In August, 2008 Tribune terminated its option agreement. Tribune spent approximately C$1 million on exploration at the time activities ceased, and Fission received 600,000 shares of Tribune. The former South Shore Property extends along the southwestern shores of Lake Athabasca east to the Alberta-Saskatchewan provincial boundary. In 2006 the Company completed an airborne MEGATEM geophysical survey over the property. Several basement hosted conductors were identified throughout the property, in addition to potential kimberlite targets identified from an earlier GEOTEM electromagnetic survey. In 2007, the Company completed 140 km of line cutting and a ground EM survey. The Company is reviewing its options regarding the newly created North Shore Property
