The Dieter Lake Property consists of 496 mineral titles totalling approximately 23,836 hectares, located about 150 km north of Hydro-Quebec Reservoir LG-4. It is accessible with a helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft; however, an all-weather road to the S.E.B.J. base at Lac Pau-Duplanter comes within 140 km of the project area (Holmstead, 1983). As well, Caniapiscau is approximately 120 km straight-line from Dieter Lake. During summer months, access to, and within, the property area is either by float plane or helicopter, with limited quad access. During winter months, access is by ski equipped aircraft, helicopter or snowmobile.

The Dieter Lake Property has a documented history of exploration of about 30 years. Exploration of this region is considered sporadic, with the majority of significant activity occurring in the late 1970's and early 1980's by Uranerz Exploration and Mining. Extensive mapping and sampling programs were completed, involving the collection of rock, soil, lake water, and lake sediment samples. Airborne and ground geophysical programs were completed as well as diamond drilling, including at least 145 holes. At least four main areas of mineralization have been documented, from west to east: Vivian, Nancy I, Nancy II, and Bert's.

A comprehensive exploration program was carried out during the summer of 2005. Work was based out of a camp on Dieter Lake and consisted of rehabilitating old core racks, relogging and sampling core, flag gridding, geochemical sampling, regional geologic mapping and a GEOTEM(r) airborne survey. A total of approximately 158.6 line km were laid in a 200 m by 200 m grid. Geochemical sampling consisted of 834 sediment samples, most of which were collected on the grid approximately every 200 m. During regional geologic and structural mapping of the Gayot Lake Basin, 36 hand samples were collected from outcrops and boulders. This work resulted in an updated structural and geologic map of the basin including north trending gabbroic dykes. It also led to the extension the claimed area to the northwest of the original property and the eastern margin of the basin, where anomalous scintillometer readings were recorded in tectonized sediments. Old core found at Dieter and Ranger lakes was relogged, and 204 samples were taken based on scintillometer readings. Results of the core sampling were used to verify historic data and to develop an updated resource model.

The Fugro GEOTEM(r) survey, including magnetic data, covered 977 line km over the Gayot Lake Basin. The survey consisted of 29 east-west lines, between 8 and 43 km long, with 400m line spacing. This survey resulted in extension of claimed area to include an electromagnetic anomaly onto the northeast of the original property.
